BRD

Since 2018, interdisciplinary artist BRD (Bridget Rosalia Driessen) has worked to develop a responsive and temporally reverberant practice. Hearing the work of another as an implicit call to pay attention and respond, BRD consciously took up a performative, authentic, and positive position with the project “Love’s Remedies”, an ongoing collaboration with artist Hannah Varamini using the administrative form and attention as artistic material. As a framework for institutional critique, this project uses the premise of “nesting” into an institution in order to expand access to resources and relationships beyond their conventional boundaries.
