HistoReminders is a series of image-driven interviews in which three contemporary artists share how history, cultural heritage, and memory influence their work. This video interview and accompanying transcript of Sherin Guirguis, conducted by Ashley Cope, was recorded via Google Meet on October 17, 2025. Join Sherin and Ashley as they discuss women’s histories in Egypt and the importance of keeping erased and forgotten histories alive through research, storytelling, and art.
Now Be Here and Artwork Archive are collaborating to bring you a webinar about Self-Promotion Tools for the working artist. Self-promotion is one of the most important tools in your artistic toolkit, and in this conversation, we will share some tips and best practices for effective marketing of your art business.
Now Be Here’s Open Studio Project welcomes you into member artists’ studios, allowing them to share their artistic process with the community firsthand. The goal of the project is to expand the artists’ audience and create an archive of artists’ working spaces, documenting a particular moment in their artistic careers.

Why books NOW? Are books symbolic objects? Have books created political change? What is it that makes artists’ books a unique /compelling art form? Can artists’ books advance social justice for women? This panel discussion will tackle the history and current state of independent press and self-publishing by women artists making books as an art form. Join Tia Blassingame, Johanna Drucker, Alexandra Grant,Marcia Reed and Susan Sironi in a lively discussion!
