Carla Jay Harris

I have been working as a professional artist for the past ten years. My primary mediums are photography, illustration, and digital design. Over the course of my career, I have created and implemented many public and private projects including site-specific photo series, solo exhibitions, room-sized installations, commissioned portraits, and large-scale murals. Whether in galleries or public spaces, my work is all about storytelling – specifically stories about history, identity, ancestry and the search for universal truths. The end style of my work as a mix of Romanticism, Surrealism and fantasy. I received my MFA from UCLA in 2015.
