Christina Saj

Christina Saj is a contemporary painter whose brightly colored richly patterned paintings adapt forms and images assimilated from ancient traditions. Early training working with a Byzantine Iconographer, made her versed in very traditional methods of painting. However today, she is always adapting and innovating her work to engage modern audiences with use of unusual materials and a focus on universal symbols with cross cultural references. Mythologies have always been a point of fascination for her, as these stories and symbols resonate with all peoples and help us to make sense of the world we live in.
