CiCi Segura Gonzalez

I am predominately an abstract painter, who also does figurative art from time to time. My larger work is usually abstract. Sometimes I create work in both styles independently or combine the styles. I am definitely influenced by my surroundings, the news, and politics. I express myself through figurative art when I want to say or document something political. I completed the large figurative work “The Wall” (Codex: “that Mexican thing”), in 2016–2017. That being said, I painted my abstract “The Beast” the same year, which definitely has political overtones.
