Cindy Renteria

I paint what I see, what I know. The images in my paintings are filtered through my history, imagination and my dreams. My paintings focus on movement, nature, and emotions. My paintings are painted in layers. Each painting starts with a light wash. Then many layers are added to create color and dimension. The pieces are painted in gouache and watercolors or acrylics. Each painting is alive with motion. Line, color, and rhythm create the movement in my paintings. The resulting works allows the viewers to visit a place that is either real or imagined.
