Colleen Blackard

“In a 2015 Q&A with Pierogi Gallery, Blackard explains that during the time she was producing “Wake,” she was illustrating and studying water. Eventually, Blackard “figured out a pattern to tessellate and expand upon, drawing the light within [the water]” for her work. “Wake” exemplifies Blackard’s use of a range of forms and signature methods to capture the power and beauty of light in landscape.” –From the Pollock-Krasner Foundation.
