I work across sculpture, drawing and installation to create illuminated sculptures and preparatory drawings that focus on environmental and social issues, such as climate change, species extinction, and migration. My recent works feature large scale animals and birds, whether domesticated, threatened, or extinct. Constructed mostly from found and repurposed plastics, my works foreground the play of light through translucent materials, and display a distinctly hand-made aesthetic. My projects are mostly inspired by the location where they will be shown, and have been presented in museum and gallery settings in the US and abroad.
