I am interested in liminality, edges and identity. My work is informed by my experiences as a Korean American and a cis woman, and explores how and where belonging can be created and found. Central to my work is its accessibility to those who may find traditional art frameworks alienating or intimidating. Utilizing everyday technologies and common social constructs, my work asks the viewer or participant to go beyond an intellectual understanding of a subject matter to reach an instinctual, emotional connection to the complexities of identity and sociocultural narratives.
