Jennifer Le Roy (Brackett)

I am fascinated with the face that stares back at me, the face that I created with my hand. I believe it is this act of inventing someone who was not there before that lures me into art making. I am motivated by the story you can tell with the eyes, how you can feel what the subject is feeling with just an expression. It is these stories that I strive to tell with my art. I use drawing and painting as a way to breath life into a figure through both realistic and abstract interpretation.
