Kristina Kay Robinson is a writer, curator, and visual artist born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her practice interrogates the modern and ancient connections between world communities and the impact of globalization, militarism, and surveillance on society and their intersections with contemporary art and pop culture. Her installation and performance art project, Republica: Temple of Color and Sound engages literature, cinema, video, sound, and performance-art to refuse the inevitability of the present by presenting a critical fabulation of what the past could have been and what the future of freedom could be for world citizens.
