Laura McCallum

Multipurpose artist with a 3D sensibility, Laura’s work deals with form: contrasts of form, finding order in form, the beauty of form. She reduces universal themes to essential elements. Devoid of answers, the work instead is infused with enigmatic symbolism that gives space for the viewer to find a personal meaning. Often themes falls solidly on social issues of anti-violence and human rights. Laura has exhibited extensively including at the Brooklyn Museum, MICA, and Socrates Sculpture Park, and in galleries in Seattle, Rome, Aix-en Provence, Berlin, and Moscow. She has exhibited with Memoire de l’Avenir Gallery in Paris since 2019.
