Lisa Blas

Lisa Blas is a Guamanian / Italian-American artist working in painting, collage, photography, and installation. Working from sources in art history, newspapers and the environment, she produces abstractions and typographical fields that speak to the fragility of the natural world and social relations. Such research led her to create Monday’s Image, a weekly RSS (2015 – present) that pairs a work of art from a museum collection with the front page of the newspaper. In 2016, she produced an artist project for Public Art Dialogue magazine. In 2021, she will be an artist-in-residence at West Cork Arts Centre, Skibbereen, Ireland.
