Lisa Guerriero

Lisa Guerriero is a Canadian born photographer who lives in Los Angeles.   She worked as a Motion Picture Camera Assistant since the age of nineteen, but turned to documentary photography seven years ago, leaving the fictional world behind to pursue a personal long-term photo project. Passionate about people and their stories, Lisa creates photographs that are sensitive studies of life within communities and subcultures throughout small-town America. Through this transition in her career, she discovered that documentary photography played a significant role in helping her to cope with her life-long struggle with depression and anxiety.
