Lisa Mann is a visual artist whose site-specific installations, performances, sculptures, and media projections explore technology and nature, homelessness, breastfeeding and motherhood, and domestic labor. Her installations feature re-purposed and re-contextualized common objects. “Prototype for a Playstructure” is a proposal for a climbing structure in the shape of a handgun and explores the connection of the NRA to the rate of accidental death by guns of children in the U.S. Mann is an Associate Professor at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, where she teaches stop motion animation and media-based installations.
