M. Jane Johnson

I say I build my paintings as much as I paint them as I work with layers and layers of acrylic, collage, oil pastel and ink to create a colorful textured piece. My paintings lie somewhere between representional and abstract as I work through my process driven art. The paintings can vary from abstract, figurative or floral as I let the canvas reveal it’s story to me. I am a full time artist and teacher working out of the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA.
