I paint narrative paintings; they tell a story. I paint in a photorealistic style but combine disparate images and distort scale to achieve a not-right realism. My series “Of This Planet” is an attempt to portray the unfolding story of the “family tree” of civilizations. I use images from antiquity, nature and symbolism chosen from photos I have collected through my research of histories: traditional, alternate and metaphysical. As a seeker, raised in the psychedelic era, my intent is to illustrate the interconnectivity of all things.
