Marina Heintze, a native Jewish New Yorker working in her studio: Minutiae in LA’s Produce District. Her graphic large scale works are an anthropologists’ vivid wet dream. Heintze focuses on the structure of the female body, internet sexuality, zoonotic transmissions, currency, human psychology/behavior, design ethnography, rape culture, idioms, targets, identity politics, and violence. Heintze’s visual language translates into repetitive patterns narrated by female hyper-sexualization & objectification using the All-American Pin-Up to the contemporary ubiquitous new body language and sexuality of T.H.O.T.S found on social media.
