Pamela Palma

I am a textile designer/ fiber artist. I use traditional structures to inform nontraditional, contemporary artworks. My work is predominantly woven on looms. I often incorporate other, unexpected materials to examine society’s value systems. Shredded $100 bills are a frequent inclusion in the bodies of my woven artworks in my Fine Art – Money Weavings. Technically mixed media, I am proud to be a leader of fiber art as a mainstream artform. On the other side of the fiber coin, textiles have infinite, practical applications which I exploit in my Art to Use collections. I founded a fiber arts guild, PLY-Miami in 2015 for textile artists.
