Sasha Koozel Reibstein

Sasha Koozel Reibstein is a mixed media artist living and working in San Diego, CA. Her work explores transformation, mortality and the sublime through a merging of abstraction and representation. Her dense and mysterious surfaces reflect an obsessive attention to detail and an interest in evoking alchemy and curiosity. Raised in Philadelphia, PA, Reibstein received degrees from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Her work has been featured in over 80 national and international exhibitions. She is currently a Professor of Art and Head of the Ceramics Program at Palomar College, San Diego, CA
