Sophia Allison

I work in a variety of media including sculpture, papermaking, collage, installation, and sewing and am inspired by memory of physical and emotional landscapes and natural elements. The work exists as raw, visceral, funny, vulnerable, and weirdly beautiful grotesques, ritual extractions that remap emotional geographies as well as the ever-shifting impermanence of our environments. My most recent work is an on-going exploration of paper and papermaking processes.
