I am addicted to acrylic paint for its ability to make luscious three-dimensional forms and I use various mediums to get different effects of opacity, transparency, and fluidity. I use squeeze bottles and pastry bags to apply the paint to a flexible grid and add faux fur to create painting/sculpture hybrids. The colors are intense and even fluorescent, creating a cartoon-like quality, but the forms are based in nature so the natural and unnatural play together. My work taps into a sense of cosmic joy through color, pattern, and repetition.
