Sue Wrbican

Sue Wrbican is interested in the intersections of the environment, economics, labor and surrealism. Extensive artistic explorations into the work of Surrealist Kay Sage resulted in constructing towering sculptures inspired by Sage’s paintings. Works include “Buoyant Force” in Reston Town Center in Reston, VA and “The Eventual Outcome of an Instant” on the grounds of the Seligmann Center in Sugar Loaf, NY. Her video “Back Roof” is part of Miranda July’s Joanie 4 Jackie Archive at the Getty Research Institute. She has held residences at the Robert Rauschenberg Residency, Kala Art Institute, and The Atlantic Center for the Arts.
