Viviane Rombaldi Seppey

My work is informed by my nomadism between countries, languages, and ways of seeing or thinking. This immersion in various cultures has nourished my creative process. Being “out of place” and wanting to “fit in” led me to explore the narratives of the place. Maps, phonebooks, books, photographs, collected objects are source materials used to describe the elusive meanings of places and my relation to them. My art is a way to investigate the surrounding world and in the making, try to make sense of my place in it.
