Alexi Butts

Alexi Butts is a ceramicist whose work explores the feminine perspective, shaped in part by her upbringing in Hong Kong. Her practice reflects a sensitivity to displacement and cultural hybridity, weaving together themes of identity and belonging. In 2019, she was an artist-in-residence at A.I.R. Vallauris, where she developed and exhibited her project “Langue, Mémoire, Lieu.” She has contributed to select collaborative exhibitions at Craft Contemporary and the LA Arboretum, and in 2025 received notable honors for her sculpture “Stand Your Ground” at the 13th Biennial Ontario Open Art Exhibition.
