Bernice received her MFA from the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester NY. Where she became an adjunct professor at RIT. Along with her now deceased husband, Keith Howard, she taught non-toxic printmaking in 17 different countries. She is mostly know for non-toxic printmaking but Bernice is a multi-media artist and painting is her passion. Bernice’s work is always inspired by her personal life. Making intensly personal work came with a price she could no longer pay once Keith died. 6 years later she is only now getting back to work. Her latest work is about this transition. The series is titled “Coming Out of The Darkness”.
