Brenda Chi

Brenda Chi (she/her) is a Queer Asian American artist from Los Angeles, with a 12-year background in comics, apparel and illustration and community art. She graduated from Art Center College of Design with a BFA which trained her from traditional illustrative practices to digital commercial practices. In 2022, Brenda had a solo show in Chinatown’s leiminspace gallery, called “Missing You In Chinatown”, a preservation and celebration of Chinatown and its immigrant businesses and a comment on the rising gentrification of this ethnic enclave. She was also the first WOC artist for the Los Angeles Public Library: Summer Reading Challenge.
