Daina Higgins is a multimedia painter whose work is informed by her background as a graffiti artist. She paints in oil, acrylic, gouache, watercolor, and spray paint. In 2025 her gallery, Contemporary Art Matters (Columbus, OH) released a catalog entitled “Growing Up Graffiti”, with an essay by Jonathan Stevenson, an editor of the Two Coats of Paint blogazine. Her work has been the focus of 16 solo exhibitions. Group exhibitions include the Kentler International Drawing Space (Brooklyn, NY) and the Woodmere Art Museum (Philadelphia, PA). She has received a Joan Mitchell Foundation MFA Grant and The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation grants.
