Ellen Pliskin

My paintings and silk aquatint monoprints explore texture and space using layers of color to suggest real objects and places I wish to convey a sense of space and movement in my work by using simple areas of color that flow into each other and flood the entire sheet of paper. My monoprints reflect my background as a painter. As part of the United States Department of State, Art In Embassies Program, my work has been a part of 6 Embassy exhibitions and is currently on view in the United States Embassies in Burkino Fasso, Africa and Bandaseri Begawan, Brunei.
