Understory: H. Lessick’s Investigations of the Invisible + Unseen
Helen Lessick investigates the intersection of public space and private observation. Exploring under-seen phenomena, she imbues approachable forms with science and metaphor. Helen’s work has been collected by the Museum of Modern Art, Sackner Archive for Concrete and Visual Poetry, and the Getty Research Institute. She has been awarded a Pollock Krasner fellowship, international artist’s residencies, and honored with solo museum exhibits at the Bellevue, Tacoma and Reno Art Museums, and commercial and university galleries. A public art activist, Helen also works with under-resourced artists, communities and art programs.
