Margie Schnibbe

Margie Schnibbe is a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist with a thirty-year legacy of exhibiting and performing nationally and internationally. Her current practice is an assertive, ongoing investigation into the libidinal economy of the gaze, memory, and the body. Working fluidly between contemporary experimental video and ceramic sculpture, she uses rhythmic editing and tactile surfaces to subvert the male gaze, establishing a powerful, autonomous presence that reclaims bodily agency.
