Megan Frances

Megan Frances is a Los Angeles-based artist whose vision is driven by the experience of coming of age as an artist and young woman while living in the Bahamas during her formative years. In her paintings, abstract curvilinear motifs interact with botanical forms, symbolically referencing the colliding forces of the manmade and natural worlds. Integrity of line and composition are the armatures for her work, and her palette is sourced from the light and colors of the subtropics. Offering her paintings as a visual refuge, Frances seeks to extol the fragility and beauty of nature, attempting to preserve it, if only in two dimensions.
