Miriam Schaer, is an artist and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. She has exhibited extensively in the U.S. and abroad and is represented in numerous collections, including the Yale Museum, Library of Congress, and The Walker Art Center. Her work has earned a NYFA Artist Fellowship. Her ongoing work explores the complexities around aging, care and motherhood. Her series about societal bias against women without children, Babies (Not) On Board: The Last Prejudice?, has been exhibited by the International Museum of Women. A U.S. Fulbright Scholar, Schaer spent part of 2017 in the Republic of Georgia.
