I am an artist with an interest in the messiness and poetics of experimental ceramic process. I put aside the traditional preoccupations of this medium, to explore qualities such as porosity, contingency and subjectivity to change. Alive to the feminist and ecological implications of rethinking our relationships with matter, I embrace ceramic process as a field of experimentation and I engage my materials as wilful co-conspirators. Optimising an aesthetic of decay, my forms are often an amalgam of geological and biomorphic references.
