Rachel Mayeri

Rachel Mayeri is a Los Angeles-based artist and Professor of Media Studies at Harvey Mudd College. Her interdisciplinary work explores the intersection of science and art, often focusing on the representation of non-human animals. Notably, her project Primate Cinema: Apes as Family was created for chimpanzees at the Edinburgh Zoo and has been featured at prestigious festivals such as Sundance and Berlinale. Mayeri’s recent projects include R/P FLIP: Spaceship at Sea, an installation about oceanographic research, and Orfeo Nel Canale Alimentare, an animated opera about the digestive system.
