Archiving Your Work

How do we keep track of images, titles, dimensions, notes for each work made?
We are often asked to provide images of our work with comprehensive information, and this can be a daunting task. Tracking our work is arguably one of our most important jobs. Thankfully, technology can help us out. When my archive program died a year ago I had to research new programs to replace it. I found a range of solutions from the most basic (a spreadsheet connected to a Dropbox file) to a free online archiving site to some very reasonably priced programs that do way more than keep track of your images. The things I like about all of these solutions is that after a bit of initial data entry time, they make your life easier, make a professional impression to others, and keep track of things in an easy and manageable way. Some of these resources have offered a discount for our group.

I have been asked repeatedly to share the lists that have been compiled. Much to their annoyance, I do not share the Now Be Here e-mail lists.
