My “story quilts,” hand-dyed using traditional shibori/indigo, embroidered, and hand-sewn with my photographic images, celebrate lens-based art alongside the craft and storytelling traditions of American quilt making. Rooted in a love of tactile process and visual narrative, my work explores the intersections of photography, textile, and memory. Each unique quilt square layers photographic imagery printed on indigo-dyed rice paper, honoring both experimentation and tradition. Through my art, I aim to convey the joy & emotional resonance I experience when capturing moments of beauty into a shared sense of wonder, serenity, & beauty.
