I work with natural and everyday materials, including zippers, industrial thread, bra hook extenders, fabric, flowers, concrete, and clay. Through deconstructing, cutting, stretching, and assembling, I emphasize and juxtapose their physical properties, transforming static objects into animated forms. These found materials exist in my periphery. This period of co-existence builds familiarity and trust. By exposing their essence, I explore shifts in meaning, value, and beauty. I create publicly accessible and inclusive projects that invite connection with nature and everyday materials, encouraging viewers to encounter the familiar in new ways.
