Célia Rocha is a Portuguese and American artist living and working in Los Angeles and Santa Ana, California. Her artwork explores universal issues of collective identity, motherhood and the politics of childbirth, and gender-based violence. She uses her artwork as a tool for activism to call attention to the often overlooked issues that affect primarily women. She completed her MFA in Public Practice at Otis College of Art and Design in 2018. She was a recipient of the California Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship Grant in 2023. Her Birth Stories drawings were shown in a group exhibition at Unveil Gallery in Irvine in 2025.
