Elizabeth Meggs is a Brooklyn-based artist whose work explores the instinctive arrangement of colors and geometric elements, urging color and value toward reification (the gestalt perception of an object as having more spatial information than is present) while utilizing limited non-overlapping inherently frontal forms. In recent years, she has had eight solo shows of new work, and exhibited in 100+ group shows, including with the non-profit Arts Gowanus, Pratt Institute’s Steuben and Dean’s Galleries, and more. She graduated summa cum laude with a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University, & received her MFA in painting from Pratt Institute.
