Mariah Robertson

The work that people know most is the colorful, messy results of a conceptual deconstructing of traditional photography training. To me this is a model of evaluating any type of discipline and works more like scientific method in testing elements without a predetermined conclusion in mind and then you make sense of the results. I’m a performance artist at core and this can happen in many different media or forms. This all started with time based, semi improvisation social performances in the 1990’s and I had to learn traditional photography just to get basic documentation, and then focused my subversive activities into that medium.
