Maru Garcia

Maru García is a Mexican, LA-based artist/chemist working across art + science + environment. She uses installation art, biomaterials, microscopy, and public projects to explore contamination, remediation, and multispecies relationships by transforming chemical and biological processes into accessible visual forms. Her work engages with ecosystems as relational entities, examining cycles of degradation, adaptation, and emergence across soil, water, air, and living systems, often through collaborative and community-driven research approaches.
