My work utilizes abstraction, symbols and repetitive forms to reference the body, geology and mythologies found in nature. The works are process-based, involving painting, sculpture, and photography. I use a variety of printed substrates, created from digital photographs of empty space (voids). Those images are digitally manipulated into color gradients, printed, cut and collaged. In all of my works, forms and themes repeat like fragments of a visual grammar. Through layering and collaging of materials, many small movements combine to create larger and more voluminous forms.
