Peggy Sivert

Peggy Sivert (US) is an LA-based artist with a background in multimedia painting, ceramic, and sculpture. Sivert’s current work is characterized by abstract compositions of accumulated objects using methods of assemblage and collage, resulting in textured or sculptural works with an ontological presence. Her past works focus on the equine subject as a symbol of peaceful collaboration, rejecting the horse as a symbol of the colonized West. Sivert has spent decades exhibiting her artwork in LA and internationally while simultaneously working as an art instructor, curator, gallerist, and mother.
